Analysis of environmental bacterial communities
These projects aim to characterize environmental bacterial communities through culture-dependent and -independent methods, to individuate plant- and soil-associated bacteria that can produce secondary metabolites active vs MDR strains, to isolate bacterial strains with the potentiality of degrading recalcitrant compounds, to discover new antibiotic resistance genes and highlight possible relations between bacterial communities and pristine and extreme environments physico-chemical properties.
