Alberto Vassallo
Postdoc in Molecular Microbiology
He is a postdoctoral researcher and he got his PhD at University of Palermo. He has previously worked in a biotech company and his main interests are industrial biotechnology and metabolic engineering. In particular, his background regards the improvement of secondary metabolite production in Streptomyces. His actual work regards the isolation and characterization of bacteria from environmental matrices to develop innovative biotech applications.
